Demi Lovato and their new fiance Max Ehrich announced on July 22nd that they are engaged! After only dating for a few months, most of which was spent cooped up together in quarantine, the couple has decided to tie the knot. I guess this just goes to show how well you can get to know someone when you aren’t allowed to leave the house!
It was a gorgeous beach proposal that most people dream of their whole lives, especially the part about the ring. It is most definitely one of the most romantic spots to pop the question, so props to Max! Demi’s stunning diamond is an emerald-cut that was handset in platinum and flanked on either side are smaller trapezoid-shaped diamonds to the extra effect. Even though the couple has not revealed the exact weight of the rock, experts say that it is most likely between 10 and 20 carats. Seems more like a boulder than a rock! The ring comes from a highly regarded jeweler based on Rodeo Drive in Hollywood, Peter Marco. The ring is supposedly worth anywhere from $2.5 to $5 million dollars!
When comparing this ring style to other celebrities, women that come to mind are Gabrielle Union, Grace Kelly, and of course Jennifer Lopez.
According to sources, Max spent a lot of time working with Peter Marco to figure out which design was perfectly unique for his future spouse. Apparently, he and Peter constantly went back and forth with different side stones and angles until the finished piece was just right.
Another post that Demi shared just a few days ago was to commemorate their ‘Miracle Day’ which is the anniversary of their surviving an overdose that they fell victim to two years ago. They expressed how grateful they were to their doctors for being alive, healthy, and of course sober. They explained how much their life has changed since that point and how extremely happy they are to be engaged to the love of their life, Max Ehrich
